YEAR ONE FEATURED OVER 30 FILM PROGRAMS, WITH screenings at the siff egyptian, northwest film forum, queer/bar, and century ballroom. the opening night film was “aliens abducted my parents and Now i kinda feel left out” and the closing night film was “POUNDCAKE”.

dr. rebekah mckendry and elric kane brought their “colors of the dark” podcast to the fest, as did clay keller and ryan marker their podcast “screen drafts”.

retrospective screenings were held of the made-for-tv classic, '“evening primrose”, and the indonesian horror masterpiece, “mystics in Bali”.

DIRECTOR GUY MADDIN joined us live to introduce his 1992 film, “careful”.
